![]() ![]() So Weenect, as evidently someone reads these reviews, I suggest the following measures be taken during the development of the Cats3 tracker:ġ. (SIMs are apparently activated when a tracker connects to the network for the first time). No explanation could be offered for the delayed activation of the spare tracker. I was told more customer services staff are being recruited. I was offered a 1 month extension to my three current subscriptions. ![]() I requested and was emailed a prepaid return label. The return of the audio fault tracker was authorised. The main points from the conversation were as follows: Apparently the call was prompted by this negative Amazon review. Then I received a telephone call from Weenect customer services in France, which was a surprize. The tracker that would not activate started working after about a week of repeated tries. Possibly the whole business model is now unsustainable and they are shortly going to fold - which would explain the huge delays in communication. It is a shame that an error in otherwise good hardware design combined with under resourced support has destroyed the Weenect Cat tracker as a useful service. This means that SIMs in trackers in the supply chain or kept as spares (and you NEED a spare) get de-registered.Īt the moment I have a faulty tracker that I cannot return and a spare I cannot register because I have been waiting for support for A WEEK. My speculation is that Weenect de-register SIMs that are apparently not in use to save on network costs. I have been told "the SIM was not registered". Unfortunately activating the new tracker has NEVER worked without support. The website allows the tracker attached to an account to be changed. (The ringing function is essential for pinpointing the location of a cat in any sort of undergrowth).Ģ. ![]() The sound quality varies greatly between new trackers, which then deteriorates and eventually fails completely. When re-designing the cat tracker (from original to Cat2) - seemingly to fit a larger battery - a problem was introduced with the audio output. HOWEVER, I have had to return three faults trackers and have been unable to activate two more.ġ. I have used the trackers on many occasions to rescue cats, two of these may have been life savers. I have three Weenect cat accounts, which have been running for ~18 months now.
